I began singing in bars when I was 21, and made a very decent living doing so until I was 34 when I went back to school and got a Master's degree and a teaching credential. I continued to perform and write during my 27 year teaching career. I'm an acoustic guitarist and singer with a wide repertoire including pop, country, standards, folk, oldies, and more. I have a B.A. and M.A. in theater, and throw in some drama into my performances. My strengths are in finger-picking and strumming in the styles of James Taylor, Paul Simon, Cat Stevens and such. I also have a Hawaiian repertoire on ukulele. Vocally I go from Johnny Cash to The Beach Boys. I try to be vocally versatile. If requested I have access to band members who play drums, bass, keyboards and lead guitar to form a band.
