Mwiza Singer Guitarist from Tampa, FL

Mwiza is a highly skilled instrumentalist and performer, specializing as both a guitarist and singer. Based in Tampa, Florida, he regularly performs across the Tampa Bay area, as well as in the rest of the state. His performances are adaptable to various settings, with options ranging from solo acts to duo, trio, or four-piece band configurations, depending on the venue’s preferences. While solo performances are most common, duos often feature either saxophone or clarinet accompaniment. Recently, his most requested ensemble has been a three-piece arrangement, consisting of vocals/guitar, saxophone, and drums. He is also open to expanding the group for larger events, incorporating keyboardists and bassists as needed. Mwiza’s musical style is a fusion of rock, pop, R&B, and jazz, allowing him to engage with a broad and diverse audience. In addition to performing popular covers, he frequently integrates his original compositions into his sets. His work has garnered recognition in Creative Loafing and Sofar Sounds, and he has had the privilege of opening for esteemed artists such as The Kingston Trio and PJ Morton. Currently represented by The Music Bureau, Book It Entertainment (Orlando), Gasparilla Music, Breezin Entertainment, and Brokenmold Entertainment, Mwiza performs at a variety of prestigious venues, including the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort (Orlando), Hyatt Regency Orlando Convention Center, Armature Works, New World Tampa, Hotel Haya, and Sparkman Wharf. His talents have also led him to be regularly booked by institutions like the University of North Florida, the University of South Florida, and the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Additionally, he performs at weddings and private events, including an engagement event for Florida House of Representatives candidate Janet Warwick. Mwiza had the distinct honor of performing at Localtopia, where he entertained in front of the Mayor of St. Petersburg, Ken Welch.
