MIKE VITALE has spent years entertaining audiences with his eclectic and diverse catalogue of originals and covers. Mike functions as a solo act, utilizing live looping equipment on such popular classics at "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel, "Chan Chan" by Buena Vista Social Club, or "Stir It Up" by Bob Marley to wow audiences by sounding like a one man band (including Bass, Percussion, and Guitars). He also hates speaking in third-person, so he's going to stop doing that now. Hi. My name is Mike. I like to make people happy. It makes me happy doing that, and I can think of no better way of doing such than fulfilling what it is you need to make your party or event or special engagement, well, special: music. Live music at that. I absolutely adore playing music that moves me. I am told often by folks that they can feel my heart when I sing. I had an ex-girlfriend who once told me that I wear my heart on my sleeve, and that this was her favorite thing about me. Despite all this heart massaging and wearing it on my person, I want you know that I do this because I love it. Music is my life. I am very proficient in playing covers, from all sorts of genres and eras, and I like connecting with folks on that level. I'm also a very accomplished songwriter, having toured the United States playing my music for people all over the country. I have had the pleasure of performing at Festivals such as the Kerrville Folk Festival in Kerrville, Texas and the Pensacola Beach Songwriter's Festival in Pensacola, Florida. I love all music, and I play a wide variety of genres (both as covers and as originals) ranging from Rock to Folk to Country to Afro-Cuban to Reggae to Latin to Swing to Jazz Standards to Top 40 and Classics. Oldies. Grunge. R&B. Soul. I draw from a lot of places, and this seems to please people a great deal. I was told by a songwriting and poetry instructor, years ago: show me, don't tell me. I think she was right. So—I'll let the music speak for itself. I hope that I have the opportunity to get to know you. That would be a blessing.
