Growing up in a family of singers, musicians, and creatives, it was inevitable that Kyla would share a passion for the art of music. Kyla kickstarted her career officially as a solo artist in 2005, the same time she was gifted her first acoustic guitar by her supportive mom, and she hasn't looked back since. Some of Kyla's musical influences are Lianne La Havas, PJ Morton, India.Arie, Lauryn Hill, and Corinne Bailey Rae to name a few.

Kyla sang 2 specially requested songs to tracks at a charity event I organized. She was delightful and has such a warm and cheery air about her. She engaged the crowd during her performance, which was an added bonus and went over really well with them. Kyla communicated with me well in the booking process and on the day of the event.
