Stef Jackson Saxophonist from Montreal, QC

Stef Jackson has studied saxophone with Claude Brisson at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal and with Remi Bolduc at the McGill Schulich School of Music. He's passionate about the saxophone and has perfected himself amongst great European soloists like Arno Bornkamp, Vincent David, Jan Shulte-Bunert, Jean-Yves Fourmeau, Marie-Bernadette Charrier, etc. His career has brought him to play in many prestigious settings like the SaxOpen International Saxophone Congress(Strasbourg 2015 and Zagrèb 2018), the Landmark Events Showcase Festival, the Canadian Music Competition and the International Adolphe Sax Competition. Stef is an active chamber musician and soloist He's been invited by the Serenade Chamber Orchestra, the OPMM, the Société de Musique Contemporaine (SMCQ), the Fédération de harmonies et des orchestres symphoniques du Québec (FHOSQ) and the Ponticello Concert series, to play soprano, alto, tenor baritone and bass saxophone. He is also invited as a clinician and guest judge for institutions like the Conservatoire de Musique de Québec, the St-Laurent CEGEP, the Société de Concerts de Montréal and the Lambda School of Music and Fine Arts. As a founding member of the ESM (Ensemble de Saxophones de Montréal) and Ensemble Saxologie (a saxophone quartet), he's actively promoting new Canadian music around the world by commissioning composition from young composers.
