Giancarlo Trotti Saxophonist from Washington, DC

Giancarlo Trotti is presently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts music degree at American University School of Arts and Sciences in Washington, DC. Giancarlo is a saxophonist who is also proficient in several other instruments. Recently, he has performed with the prestigious wedding band known as the Original Moonlighters and in 2023, regularly cohosted and performed in open mic nights at Tight Five Pub in Adams Morgan, DC. He also performs at social events, parties, festivals and galleries as a solo musician. Giancarlo is also an instructor at both Music and Arts and Middle C Music with additional teaching experience at International School of Music and Bach to Rock. Over the last nine years, Giancarlo has performed in a multitude of ensembles including the American University (AU) Jazz Orchestra, the AU Saxophone Quartet, the AU Chi Alpha Campus Ministries Band, the AU Symphonic Band, the NYC All City Marching Band, and the prestigious NYC All City Jazz Band. In his spare time, Giancarlo frequently writes and composes original lyrics and music. Most of all, he enjoys entertaining with the hope of introducing his listeners to a newfound passion for the saxophone and the energy and mood it inevitably creates. As an impassioned musician, Giancarlo enjoys performing with a diverse and exciting set list and sharing his skills with audiences throughout the DC area.
