About Vendor

I performed with the Garden State Arts Center Band until I went off to college, where I joined a local trio, playing music for all occasions. While with the Garden State band, I played with musical giants such as Tony Bennett and Lena Horne (these two simultaneously), Sammy Davis, Jr., Andy Williams, and Michel Legrand. While in law school, I played with the South Street Rhythm and Blues and the Ohio Northern University Jazz Ensemble. I had the privilege of playing with the Johnny Carson Tonight Show drummer, Ed Shaughnessy, who befriended me and taught me all about Indian rhythmics. I was stationed in Oahu, Hawaii while I was a JAG Corps Officer (an attorney) in the Navy. While there, I played lead sax in the Honolulu Jazz Band and enjoyed private lessons with Lew Tabakin (the splashy tenor man on Doc Severinsen's Tonight Show band). I also played flute, clarinet (in pit bands only), as well as soprano, alto and tenor saxophones. Nowadays, I am focusing exclusively on the tenor. While in New Jersey, while running my law practice, I played with Barbara Harris, who was formerly the lead singer with The Toys. She made famous the hit single, "A Lovers Concerto" (a pop piece based on Bach's Minuet) and "Attack;" both "Top Ten" favorites.
