Millie Puente Biography Millie Puente is inseparable from her music. Millie is an accomplished singer, musician and performer who's vocal and Latin percussion talents has been a fundamental part of who she is from her upbringing in Puerto Rico and the Bronx New York. In 1990 Millie Puente recorded her first album called Tito Puente Presents Millie P. and was nominated and won for the "Best Album and best Tropical Music of the year at the American Grammy Awards. Standing alongside musicians especially next to the great legendary, Tito Puente who was teacher and Mentor, Celia Cruz, Ruben Blades, Pete Escobedo, Sheila Escobedo, Sergio George Producer, Giovanni Hidalgo, Johnny Pacheco, Oscar De Leon, Mongo Santa Maria. Aside from the music Millie Puente was in a film called The Mambo Kings in the early 90's, with Antonio Banderas ,Armand Lansante and Celia Cruz. She is fluent in playing percussion with Congas, Timbales, Cajon, Drums and Tambour. Millie has been blessed to travel pretty much the world and has learned from other cultures in her journey. Millie entente presently resides in Spring Hill Florida and operates in the Tampa Bay area as a Vocal Coach and Voice Technician teaching program.
