The Sundogs Rock Band from Madison, WI

The Sundogs are a four-piece Madison-based band, founded way back in 2000, specializing in lively covers of popular yet diverse guitar rock from the 1960s onward — Beatles, Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Hendrix, Cream, Peter Frampton, The Who, The Eagles, The Cars, Tom Petty, U2, Nirvana, Green Day, Dire Straits, and a few surprises when they can work them in. The three constants since nearly the beginning have been founding members Jon Martin (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Grant Petty (lead guitar), and Janesville bass player Graham Judson who joined in 2005. Relative newcomer John Weekes brought his amazing drumming chops to the band in 2019. Although the Sundogs occasionally play clubs and taverns, the majority of our gigs are now fundraisers, festivals, and private and corporate parties. We bring a highly professional work ethic to our bookings, taking pride in excellent communication with the client concerning music preferences, event schedule, technical needs, and other practical concerns.
