About VendorÂ
Learn more about this vendor for your event.
Marquis66... was founded in August 2002 when two members of the original Marquis (Steve Jones and Michael Kinnett) decided to re-form the band. New members were added that shared the vision of playing the music of the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's that we grew up with. We truly enjoy what we do and have excellent references form clients as varied as community festivals, weddings, private parties and corporate events. Our energy on stage is a reflection of the chemistry between the band members. The band can provide entertainment for small venues and everything up to an outdoor festival. A complete sound system and light show provide a concert level experience. The songlist is varied and can be tailored for your event. If you have a specific song request just let them know. Doug Toftner has been engaged in the World of Rock and Roll Music from his young teenage years and played with a variety of bands over the years in the Cincinnati area early on, to the last several years in the Columbus, Ohio area. Bands like Livingston Road, and The Gallery played venues all over the Cincy Tri-State area for many years, bringing classic rock, and Top-40 focused repertoires to audiences big and small, and his last 2 decades in the Columbus area with Marquis66, playing an almost unlimited number and types of events over that time. He specializes in strong lead and harmony vocals, with the ability to sing many genres well, and along with solid skills on the Guitar, is able to bring your favorite songs alive! John Bricker has rejoined Marquis66. He has been a fixture in the Central Ohio music scene since the early 90s, filling the lead guitar/lead vocals role for several cover and original acts including Krawl, Eightdaze, Rhetoric and Marquis66. His influences range from the Beatles and Rolling Stones to Led Zeppelin and ACDC. When not on stage he enjoys spending time on "the other side of the glass" as an audio engineer and an accomplished voice actor. Steve Jones is the remaining founding member still with the band. He enjoys working with Bobby to provide a solid back line sound for the group. Steve has over 25 years of live performance experience. He plays bass with the band, but also plays accordian, guitar and drums giving him an understanding of how the various components of the band fit together. Diane Jones has been active in community theater and musical programs in church for many years. She has applied both her keyboard skills and her talent for vocal leads and harmony to the band's sound for over 20 years. Bobby Hartman has been with the band for 3 years as our drummer. He also does lead and backing vocals. Bobby has been active in the Central Ohio music scene for 40 years and is active in worship music at his church. Instruments: Guitar, bass, keyboard and drums. Sound: Provided by Lonewolf Sound of Columbus, Ohio
