The Story Republique is housed in a building that was originally built in 1928 for Charlie Chaplin to use for his offices. Initially designed to be a mixed-use space for shops and offices, the building has been used by various restaurants since 1989. When Walter and Margarita Manzke took over the building, they sought to showcase its original architectural features. Patrons will notice exposed brick, tiles, and ironwork throughout the restaurant.
