Souvenir Oldies Band from Salinas, CA

What is SOUVENIR? We are two friends of 20 years, Dan Gutierrez and Jeff Richman. We listened to and fell in love with the music of the Fifties and Sixties (including the songs of the Beatles, Everly Brothers, Simon and Garfunkel, Roy Orbison, and others) We enjoyed harmonizing on the melodies as we played along on guitar. The songs remind us of times spent listening to the radio and to phonograph records years ago (Dan in Salinas, CA; Jeff on Long Island, NY). We've been inspired to create our own songs and arrangements in the style of the music we remember. A souvenir (from the French word for "memory") is something that a traveler brings home for the memories associated with it. Our musical journeys have brought us to this time and place where we can share musical memories with you. Perhaps you remember these songs, perhaps not.
