!BlowmusiK! German Band from San Francisco, CA

BlowMusik is our translation of "Blasmusik", the german word for the kind of traditional oompah we play. Some of us are also members of the San Francisco Deutscher Musikverein, a community band founded in 1938. Because there are many venues that can't fit a 25-piece band, we saw the need for a smaller group. Over time, the small group has taken on a life of its own. BlowMusik is an un-amplified, mostly instrumental band, consisting of tuba, drums, two trumpets or cornets, two clarinets, trombone, baritone, and an occasional accordion or concertina. We play polkas, waltzes, marches, and maybe a schottische or laendler once in a while. Whether you're dancing, listening, or just having a good time with us in the background, we think we'll add some unique and lively gemütlichkeit to your event. We're great for beer gardens, Oktoberfest parties, outdoor events and anywhere a traditional polka or blasmusik band belongs.
