We threw a surprise 80th birthday party for a remarkable piano teacher named Francis. Her children and all her present and former piano students collaborated to create the grandest celebration she had ever laid eyes on. The twist? Her son roped me into the planning by scheduling a "beginner's" piano lesson for me with Francis. Little did she know that I had been playing for decades! On the big day, as she entered the room filled with her loved ones, I dazzled her by playing Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" instead of the simple nursery rhyme I was supposed to learn. The look of pure astonishment and joy on her face is a memory that will forever warm my heart. But that's not all! From Valentine's Day parties to private events, weddings to funerals, retirement community celebrations to surprise marriage proposals, I have a rich tapestry of experience in every event you can imagine. I've graced the stages of some of Houston's most esteemed 5-star hotels, including the JW Marriott, The Post Oak Hotel, and Shearn's Seafood and Prime Steaks in the Moody Gardens Hotel. And let's not forget the countless gigs at delightful venues such as The Post Oak Grill, The County Line Bar and Grill, Shakespeare's Blues Pub, and Tipsy Turtle in Galveston. In fact, I was even hired by none other than Mattress Mack from Gallery Furniture as his first in-house pianist in 2013! So, what kind of event are you envisioning? To William and All Your Friends... What a party! Picking the San Luis in Galveston for your event with me on a grand piano was a blast! I had fun. Heck we all had fun! A party that was scheduled to end at 7:30 lasted into the evening. I especially loved you guys gathering around the piano and singing some fun songs from Jimmy Buffet and other artists.
