John "JT" Thompson has been a professional piano player for over 25 years, both as a soloist and with all varieties of bands. He specializes in entertaining at private events like weddings, receptions, dinners, and house concerts. JT's piano style is steeped in the Blues and Boogie-Woogie, but his repertoire extends far beyond those genres to include popular songs by artists as diverse as Billy Joel, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, B.B. King, Journey and Oasis, even light classical pieces. His playlist of over 400 songs includes favorites like "It Had To Be You," "Walking In Memphis," "Over The Rainbow," "Stardust," "Wonderwall," "Piano Man," and special requests are always welcome. In October 2010, JT released his solo CD "Chase Away Your Blues," which has won critical acclaim and regular airplay on Blues radio stations throughout the world. He was also a Top 8 finalist in the 2011 International Blues Challenge, sponsored by the Blues Foundation, and held every year in Memphis TN.
