Places I have played: The Mark Twain House, the Governor's Mansion, New Britain Museum of American Art, The Hillstead Museum, Central CT State University, fundraisers for The Hartford Symphony and other area not-for-profits. I have been seen on many stages in solo recital, accompanying choirs and other instrumentalists. I excelled in all the instruments I tried, played the violin, 'cello, guitar, clarinet, flute etc. and was always the one who the other kids would be jealous of. When I arrived at conservatory training, I was excused from many of the required courses because I could already perform that skill without training for it. The piano has always been my favorite instrument and I have been a pianist all my life. I am classically trained and studied with very fine teachers at several music conservatories: Mannes College and Manhattan School of Music in New York City, Hartt School in West Hartford, CT Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ and Aspen Music Festival in Colorado. I am versed in a wide range of "classical" music as well as showtunes from the 30's to present day pop songs. I speak several languages and am familiar with the music of other cultures. Some favorites at weddings are Pachelbel's Canon and the theme from Masterpiece Theater. For parties, Piano Man usually gets everyone involved, as well as Beatles' tunes, The Sound of Music, Frank Sinatra, The Band, Margaritaville etc. I play a wide variety!
