ClassicalJazz Pianist from Oakton, VA

I am a Nordstrom pianist and play most weekends at the Ritz-Tysons hotel in Vienna, VA. I was also a staff pianist at the Bombay Club, Wash DC for 3 years. In addition, I have performed at many area venues (The Hay-Adams hotel, wash dc; the Watergate hotel, wash dc; Westfields Intl, chantilly VA.) I played the weekly Sat evening service at Our Lady of Good Counsel church in Vienna Va for 9 years and taught piano at the Music & Arts store in Oakton VA for 10+ years. I hold Bachelor and Masters degrees from Harvard and Ucla. My classical repertoire focuses on the work of Chopin, Debussy, Ravel and Bach. I have been told by my colleagues that I have a classical "accent." My goal is to provide my guests with a relaxing and even spiritual atmosphere! My non-classical repertoire stresses the American Songbook (Gershwin, Porter, Broadway), famous pop composers (Elton John, Billie Joel), great Opera arias and Movie themes. The waiters at the Ritz tell me I am their favorite player, mostly because they recognize all the songs I play and that I am not "too jazzy" (hence my profile name.)
