Give your guests the gift of outstanding music! Mezzo soprano Eve Orenstein bring the beauty of classical vocal music to make any event truly exceptional. New Jersey native Eve Orenstein received her BM from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and an MM from Manhattan School of Music. She has performed the roles of Katisha in The Mikado, The Witch in Hansel and Gretel, Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro, Madame Flora(Baba) in Menotti's The Medium, Third Lady in Die Zauberflote, Emilia in Otello, and has covered Ma Moss in Aaron Copland's The Tender Land, Azucena in Il Trovatore, and Mere Marie in Poulenc's The Dialogues of the Carmelites. Eve has performed with companies such as Bronx Opera, One World Symphony, New York Metro Vocal Arts Ensemble, Liederkranz Opera Theatre, Loveland Opera Theater, and Dicapo Opera Theatre. Eve was a winner in the New Jersey NATS competition, and in the Feis Ceoil music festival in Dublin, Ireland. In 2008, Eve was a member of Opera Colorado's Outreach Ensemble, and was featured in the New Works Showcase at the National Performing Arts Convention in Denver that year. Eve sang the role of Bessie in Weill's Mahagonny Songspiel and acted the role of the Empress in Distler's Totentanz in October 2011 in a co-production of Cabaret Otaku and Opera on Tap Colorado. Eve was heard as the Mother and Witch in a concert/ballet version of Hansel and Gretel with The Ballet School of Stamford in May 2012 and performed the role of Emilia in Verdi's Otello with the Rocky Mountain Opera Company in August 2012. She was most recently heard as Lady Sangazure in Empire Lyric Players production of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Sorcerer in June 2013. Eve is the director of the Colorado chapter of Opera on Tap and produces and performs regularly in the Denver/Boulder area and at Lincoln Center in New York with the National Chorale.
