Rick Elliott One Man Band from Suffolk, VA

Rick Elliott has been described as one of the most talented musicians in the region. He combines the soulful sounds of smooth jazz with the melodic stylings of rhythm and blues. A master of the soprano saxophone, he mesmerizes audiences with his eclectic style which ranges from covering upbeat contemporary songs, to dramatic pieces that move the soul. Rick Elliott has played for numerous social and civic functions as well as national conventions. In addition, Rick has also performed for several Virginia State Department of Education functions that included former Governor's Tim Kane, Mark Warner, and current Governor Robert McDonnell in attendance, along with other dignitaries. Rick studied music at Norfolk State University and Virginia State University. This is Rick's twenty fifth year performing his “one man set”. (saxophone and keyboard to backing tracks) Rick is available for live performances and comes highly recommended for entertainment for corporate events, wedding receptions, private parties and social functions. His personal approach to an audience and versatile style will complement your event, from unobtrusive easy listening smooth jazz, to R and B, pop cover songs and jazz standards. Standard equipment that I use when performing are: Macbook Pro for MP3 backing tracks and keyboard sounds, Axiom Pro61 keyboard controller, Bose L1S sound system, Sampson wireless Instrument microphone, and Cannonball Big Bell Series Soprano Saxophone. Minimum space needed for setup is 8ft x 5ft.
