Joe Rathburn One Man Band from San Diego, CA

I am a very experienced, life-long musician based in San Diego. From concert halls to coffee houses, huge corporate functions to backyard parties, I've done 'em all. My current act features me singing, and playing both acoustic and electric guitar, along with my specially created backing tracks. Mostly what I'm going for is the sound of a trio, so most of my tracks are just bass and drums. This makes me sound much more "natural" than someone who might incorporate all the horns, strings, backing vocals, keyboards, etcetera. So instead of sounding like karaoke, I sound like a well-mixed trio band. My repertoire is made up of the songs I grew to love throughout my lifetime. I didn't choose them just because they were popular, though most of them were and still are. The styles range from folk, to rock, to Motown, to reggae and island music, with a wee bit of country and even some jazz thrown in. I try to learn songs that are timeless, meaning they'll still be relevant 50 years from now, instead of a passing fad. I can make 'em dance, or just supply an atmosphere depending on your preference. My repertoire is clean and designed to bring people together. I hope you give me a try at your event. People are generally amazed at my sound.
