Dr. K's Uke One Man Band from North Franklin, CT

I you are looking for something unique, something other than another singer/guitar player, you found it. I sing, play baritone and tenor ukulele, bass with my feet, and loop percussion (all at the same time). With a sound focused on smooth and groove I play a mix of 70's & 80's soft rock, Yacht Rock, country (the old stuff), soul, 80’s metal ballads, and originals, with a few other genres thrown in. I play all the songs you didn’t know you wanted to hear. I have a repertoire of over 300 songs and have designed and performed Christmas shows, Halloween shows, and themed shows about love, and 70's & 80's movie and TV music. I have a degree in music from The University of Connecticut and have been teaching music in public schools for over 30 years. I am currently performing in 4 other projects besides Dr. K's Uke. I sing, play drums, and sometimes piano in a power rock trio, I play drums in a jazz band, I play drums and sing in a roots rock band, and I play bass, sing, and play piano and flute in a singer songwriter duo. I take my music seriously and when I am not teaching, practicing, writing, or performing, I have a recording studio that keeps me busy. I have been performing for audiences for over 35 years. I perform all over CT, MA, and RI and have had the opportunity to perform for U.S. presidents and at Carnegie hall. I arrive early, start on time, take short breaks, and sound amazing.
