Tony Serzo Variety Band from Kent, WA

Hi, I'm Tony Serzo, guitarist, vocalist and band leader. I perform solo at retirement homes, farmer's markets, private functions and restaurants. But I also lead a small swing combo (5 pieces total) as well as an rock & roll oldies quartet. As a solo I perform jazz, rock, blues, country from pretty much every decade. I can play quietly as a jazz guitarist or I can rock out on electric guitar with a drum machine depending on the need. My swing band, Parlor Swing, plays mostly early jazz typically without a drummer (unless it's a dance, in which case we know several professional drummers we can engage). Our core instrumentation is guitar, upright bass, trumpet and violin. We have a female singer who is our primary vocalist, but we all sing at times. This group has been together since 2017 and plays a mix of early swing from the Prohibition era, gypsy jazz, "jump" blues (think Cab Calloway) as well as old timey Country and Western Swing. My other band is known as Linda & the Trio as we are fronted by the fabulous Linda Fahlgren-Moe backed by a solid rhythm section (drums, bass and me on guitar). That group is also quite versatile as we play a mix of jazz, rock and pop oldies (primarily from the 50s and 60s) and country. Our drummer is a retired music teacher (actually the whole band is!) and uses the smallest drum kit I've ever seen, which is still plenty loud enough without making the band too loud. In addition to these established acts, I have a network of professional musicians in the Puget Sound region I can call on to assemble almost any kind of musical act you might need.
