This Cuban charanga orchestra interprets authentic Cuban Son, Mambo, Cha Cha Cha, Bolero and Merengue with inimitable drive and swing. The bands unique sound is at once elegant and energetic with a contagious rhythm that attracts dancing and listening crowds alike. YeraSon is a treat for both the ears and the feet! Versatility is one of the group's central characteristics. From 3 to 15 performers, YeraSon can easily adapt to any venue. Trio and Quartet formats are perfect for receptions and parties, while Charanga Orchestra or Mambo Big Band formats are better suited to larger events. In 2017, YeraSon gave an International Jazz Day Concert in Havana Cuba at the Gaia International Center for the Arts. The same summer they were invited to perform at the Cape Cod Jazz Festival, the SeaGlass Music Festival, and the Northside Festival. YeraSon has won a 2013 GRAMMY - Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media, for their work on Woody Allen's Academy Award Winning Film, Midnight in Paris, YeraSon appears in his newest film, Cafe Society and are included in that fabulous soundtrack. Since 2002,YeraSon Orquesta Charanga has proudly held weekly shows in Manhattan while the YeraSon Trio performs several times a week in and around New York. YeraSon has appeared at the Latin Heritage Awards Ceremony the Kennedy Center in Washington D.
