Uniform: Full Formal Attire with Dress Kilt (Royal Regiment of Scotland, MacKenzie, or Black Stewart Tartans) and Jacket. Weddings and Anniversary Celebrations: Bagpipes have added a distinctive character to weddings for centuries. They may be played before, during, or after the ceremony. As a suggestion, the processional and recessional are both appropriate times for the bagpipes. Being piped into the reception can be a great way to make a "grand entrance" as well. The Celtic Fiddle, featuring heart-moving Celtic solos, is particularly suitable for intimate indoor venues and is a perfect complement to the stark sounds of the bagpipes. Funerals and Memorial Services: The bagpipes and/or fiddle are a beautiful and fitting way to help honor and celebrate the life of a family member or friend. I have a medley of moving Scottish and Irish tunes that are appropriate for any funeral or memorial service. As a suggestion, playing "Amazing Grace" or another selection stationary at the conclusion of the service and then "Going Home" as I march into the distance provides a quite moving and memorable effect.
