Do you want a unique act that your clients, family, or friends won't forget? Hiring a live painter will leave a lasting impression on people because it is such a unique awe inspiring experience. Without a doubt every live painting I've done I have people come up to tell me they've never seen someone do a live painting before and how unique and interesting it is to see. What is a live painting? Different artists have their own description of what a live painting entails, but for me it means a 3 hr or more painting session where I am able to take a piece from a blank canvas to a finished artwork. My most common size currently is 36"x48" which is a big enough size where a large group of people are able to enjoy and see the piece from a distance while I'm working on it. Can I buy the piece? Although not required I do often sell the piece that night for a discounted price, normally my pieces can sell easily for over $1000 I sell them at a drastically discounted price the night of the event because I want my clients to be able to have the piece as a memento to remember their special evening. What types of things can you paint? The sky is the limit, within reason, because of the time restraints there are certain types of paintings that will work better than others, pieces that have a large number of figures or an extreme amount of detail can be difficult to paint well in a timely fashion. Pieces that work best are large close up portraits, landscapes, animal portraits, But that doesn't mean you need to limit your idea for a painting, I can help guide you through the process to come up with a piece that will truly encapsulate what the essence of your event is all about.
