The Special 20s are absolutely FANTASTIC. Read the room expertly, kept the energy high without wiping everbody out, MCed the announcements with grace (on short notice too!), and and are serious talents. If you aren't sure about the idea of a 50s rock/blues band (nerdy, outdated, etc.) I urge you to reconsider and book this group. All people could talk about after my wedding was the Special 20s. MADE my reception without a shadow of a doubt.

We hired Special 20s to play for our wedding. We couldn't have been happier!!!! They were excellent in every way. Morry, the band leader, accommodated our every preference and need. We are dancers and really wanted a band that we could swing dance to. He was wonderful to work with both on the phone before the event and really great at the wedding reception because he was proactive with the guests in their participation, timing, selection of music and beyond that the quality of musicianship was outstanding!! We had one rocking party that left our guests and us with lasting memories. It is without reservation that we recommend the Special 20s!!!

The Special 20s performed at our wedding. Morry kept in touch about details before the event, the keyboardist did a great job with the songs we requested for the ceremony, and the band's sound was awesome. All of our guests had a great time and kept saying how fun it was to have the Special 20s perform. They were very good at adjusting to our needs that day, and they did a nice job of performing to a crowd of 50 without being overwhelming, even with a 6-piece band. It made the wedding really special!

We hired Morry and the Special 20's for our wedding reception July 2013 in northern Wisconsin. We LOVED them! Communicating with them was very easy, Morry was very responsive to emails. They travelled 6 hours north of Chicago, found the site of our reception which was quite remote, and played an amazing set all with very, very little direction from us! They played for 4 full hours with only three very short breaks. They were such a hit! The dance floor was full nearly the entire night. But those who weren't big dancers loved sitting an watching, they were so entertaining. I would hire them in a second for a future event, I highly recommend without hesitation!

BOOK THIS BAND!! They are the ultimate show band, consumate professionals, yet very down to earth. They kept the party hoping and everyone of my guests commented on their talent, showmanship and friendliness. They are accomodating and deliver what they say they will, when they say they will.
Completely satisfied!
There isn't a finer blues band in Chicago (or anywhere else as far as I am concerned) - so stop looking and BOOK THE SPECIAL 20s TODAY!

Morry Sochat and the Special 20's were the best decision we made for our wedding. Not your typical wedding band- they are a WHOLE lot better. What a class act. Extremely professional and easy to work with. They exceeded our expectations and delivered a performance that left us and many of our guests wanting to follow them to their next gig! Dressed to kill indeed; they gave the groom a run for his money. A very polished performance- excellent sound, great lighting, and talk about musicianship- these guys are tight! We received compliments all night long and we kept getting the same question over and over: "Where did you FIND these guys?!" Book them while you can!

All our guest from age 12 to 75 had a great time. The Special 20s were very easy to get a hold of and work with. There music was fun and easy to dance to. Even if you weren't dancing the music was perfect to just sit and listen too. They are awesome!

The Special 20's was one of the best choices we made for our wedding! We got many compliments from our guests. They were professional, communicated well with us and responded quickly to our questions, and left us with a nice sense of reassurance that everything would work out (which was wonderful for us; especially in the last couple weeks.) WOW -- They are FABULOUS!!! They were the entertainment for our groups Annual Banquet Dinner -- we never had so many people dancing --had so much fun -- had to be the music!! Everyone just raved about them -- They made the night!!
What style - Smooth,Suave,Sophisticated,Professional,not to mention extremely talented -- can't say enough positive about them.

Morry & the Special 20s displayed great talent as they performed at our outdoor wedding during record-rainfall on 9-13-08. The Blues gods must have been smiling, as the thunderstorms continued to down pour, and the BAND PLAYED ON. And what a performance! PERFECT! We have received countless compliments on the band from our guests. What a great show. If our 180+ guests came to see us get married, they stayed because of the band’s performance. We are organizing a trip to see Morry & the Special 20s perform at the House of Blues in Chicago. Thanks goes out to the entire band and their families for helping create our incredible wedding. Their music makes a difference.
