Também is a Latin jazz trio based out of Durham, NC that specializes in the Brazilian styles of samba, bossa nova, and forró. Sophisticated and suave, Também's music features tasteful vocals and keyboards, beautiful bass lines and groove-driven percussion. The brainchild of pianist/vocalist Ingrid Nora Knight, the quartet includes Uruguayan drummer and percussionist Gastón Reggio and bassist Andy Powell. All seasoned musicians, they have provided music at countless weddings and events since the band's inception in 2018. Também is a highly versatile act that is suitable for a jazz cocktail hour as well as a full fledged Latin dance party. Their repertoire ranges from soothing bossa nova classics to up tempo samba numbers as well as straight-ahead jazz and the Great American Songbook. Characterized by rhythmic play and improvisation, Também's music is lively, carefree, and fun.
