Juke Joint Jazz plays their own moving and melodic arrangements of the classic modern jazz repertoire. Featuring several accomplished soloists with influences ranging from Miles Davis to the Grateful Dead, from Monk to Funk, the band plays an eclectic mix of works from an international cast of composers. Our musicians have an average of more than 20 years experience, and several are teachers of music in area colleges. Ken Forfia—piano; David Kisala—saxophone; Michael Levine—guitar; George Kaye—bass and Clark Seibold—drums. JJJ plays regularly in jazz clubs in Western Massachusetts, and recently opened the NORTHAMPTON JAZZ FESTIVAL on September 11, 2015 with a concert at The Iron Horse Music Hall with The Charles Neville Jazz Quartet. Our group members are all veteran, accomplished players. We play entire weddings--cocktail hour, dinner music, dance sets, and corporate events and private parties as well. We have the flexibility to play as a trio--Guitar, Piano, Acoustic Bass; as a quartet or as a quintet--our standard, and preferred configuration.
