Comprised all of full time professional musicians, the Chris Barrick Trio provides a sound that is colorful, yet perfect for any space or event requiring low volume levels. An equally capable vibraphonist and percussionist, the trio (or duo, quartet, etc.) can feature a variety instruments but is typically comprised of a piano/upright bass/drums or vibraphone/upright bass/drums core. Selections include a variety of standards and classic jazz tunes, as well as jazz versions of popular music today.

Chris was fantastic to work with! Even though he was already booked for our wedding day, he went above and beyond to help us create our dream jazz quartet. He guided us in developing our musical vision and kept everything on track, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. On the big day, the jazz quartet he assembled was spectacular. Our guitarist performed our ceremony songs from memory, setting a beautiful tone. The cocktail hour jazz group was a hit, creating a lively atmosphere. They even stayed longer for a private first dance—a special touch that made our day unforgettable. Chris and his team exceeded our expectations, and we couldn’t have been happier!

I booked Chris for a trio of drums, standup bass, and piano, and he and his group provided a great atmosphere for the cocktail hour for my wedding. Looked very sharp and sounded even better. Clearly super talented professional musicians that could make an album whenever they please. My venue already had a grand piano which they were able to use no problem.
