About Vendor
Learn more about this vendor for your event.
Vivian Lee is a jazz vocalist specializing in songs from the American Songbook as well as straight-ahead jazz from Monk, Gillespie, Miles Davis, Jobim and more. The band she carries with her consists of anything from trio(piano/bass/drums) to quintet (piano/bass/drums/sax). Her current band consists of Joe Gilman/Brenden Lowe on piano, Buca Necak or Ben Kopf on bass and Jeff Minnieweather on drums. Together with her unique style, phrasing and magical stage presence, they have been captivating audiences from Lake Tahoe to the Bay area. Known for her story-telling and banter with the audience she will pull you into the world that she creates on stage. For private events the group knows how to step back from show mode and create a wonderful ambiance that allows guests to chat and enjoy each other's company while listening to the music on the fringe of their consciousness. Ms Lee has three times (2005, 2006, 2007) been voted one of Sacramento's top jazz groups and top local entertainer by subscribers in Sacramento Magazine's annual "Best Of Sacramento issue. In 2009 she was voted by the editors of Sacramento Magazine as "Best Jazz Diva and also won the SAMMIE (Sacramento Area Music Award - Best Jazz Group 2007. In 2014 she was inducted into the Black Music Association of America's Sacramento Chapter as a Music Icon. She also was selected as Best Jazz Vocalist for 2014 by the same organization. She and her group are very adept at making a wedding, festival, jazz clubs, fundraiser, performing arts centers or whatever your event is a unique experience. Adding Vivian Lee and her group to your event will enhance and make that event something very special. I have quite an extensive songlist (283)that is constantly growing. Below is a a wide array of the songs we do but not the entire list.
