Connor Thompson Jazz Guitarist from Richmond, VA

I have been performing throughout the Richmond area as a soloist and in ensembles since 2006. Some of the public venues I have played include Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, Hardywood Park Craft Brewery, James Center, The Tobacco Company, Havana 59, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. I have also performed private events for The Science Museum of Virginia, MCV and VCU Alumni Associations, the Suntrust Building, the Richmond Country Club, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, among others. I perform various styles of instrumental jazz including standards, swing, be-bop, bossa nova, samba, and jazz-funk. In addition to background music for private parties, I have played many wedding receptions (particularly cocktail hours before a dance band) and several wedding ceremonies. For ceremonies, I offer clients custom arrangements of their chosen music set in a solo guitar style. Music I have arranged and performed for past weddings as been quite varied, including pieces by The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Joe Cocker, Michael Buble, Alison Krauss, and U2. This allows a client the flexibility to select exactly what they want and tailor the ceremony to their own unique style.
