Ian Hughes is a multi-talented Seattle-born guitarist and vocalist. Ian plays all over the Northwest and specializes in Jazz, Soul and Latin Fusion music. His group is normally composed of five members, and features guitar,keys,bass,sax/flute/clarinet, drums. However, it can be scaled or tailored in terms of size or instrumentation to fit the client's needs. The group itself has a very versatile repertoire, solidified by many years of working together in various projects. The group's main repertoire is based around Jazz standards and classics, but diversifies to include instrumental arrangements of modern songs, and a plethora of vocal covers, including: The Jackson Five, R Kelly, Gnarls Barkley, The White Stripes, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Paul Simon. We are quite capable of fielding requests in all genres and can provide a female vocalist if the client prefers. You can find Ian and members of his group every Monday night at Seattle's Nectar Lounge, hosting Mo'Jam Mondays, a huge weekly jam session, as well as performing around town with Alternative Jazz group: Freudian Slurp.
