Kevin Diggs and The Philly French Revolution Jazz Band from Philadelphia, PA

My name is Kevin Douglas Diggs, I have been a musician all of my life. At fifteen, I formed a band with my older brother and other teenagers (Sapphire). We opened for the Isley Brothers and New Birth at The Philadelphia Spectrum and the group received rave reviews from famed radio personality Georgie Woods who said that the opening act made the show. At nineteen, I attended Norfolk State University where I majored in and earned a degree in Music and Media with a minor in History all the while playing at several music venues and even played alongside my professors on their private gigs. I sing and I play three instruments ( guitar, keyboard and bass). I have played music throughout the United States and Europe, primarily France with numerous bands and as a solo artist and I played at Patti LaBelle’s club Chez La Belle in my hometown of Philadelphia where I was discovered by Ms. Patti La Belle who came over to introduce herself to me and said “ I will see you again young man” The great Patti La Belle recommended me to a French Music Production Company. They hired me, flew me to France and I lived in France for 21 years singing and making music with the company ShowBiz. I have recorded three studio albums of original songs and music and have produced and worked with other artists on their musical work. I have since returned to the United States to live. I have formed a new band, Kevin Diggs And The Philly French Revolution which is currently a four member band but has the capacity to be more as needed. We play all genres and are very highly experienced, talented and creative. Clients can expect great talent and versatility; we have the ability to incorporate original sounds and modern style into traditional music as well as great original styling and write original songs to fit events if requested.
