About Vendor

Johnnie-Lee Walton was first introduced and fell in love with the saxophone as a child. Saxophonist Johnnie-Lee Walton's skills and path in the world of jazz were honed and cemented when he attended the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford. At Hartt, he studied with the world-renowned jazz master Jackie McLean and with Kris Jenson. At Hartt, Mr. McLean instilled in Johnnie-Lee respect for the jazz masters. Johnnie-Lee has great respect for masters such as Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Bud Powell, Thelonious Monk, and John Coltrane. Over his 35 years of experience, Johnnie-Lee has continued to grow and has incorporated the old and new to create a beautiful musical tapestry in his performances. His company, JShowtime Jazz and Soul Music LLC, delights audiences on stages far and wide and their love for music shines through. Their repertoire ranges from straight-ahead hard bop, standards, background music, Soul, R&B, Gospel and so much more. The ensemble can range in size from solo to quartet. This group comes with everything needed for an unforgettable experience including a PA system. Mr. Walton believes so much in the power of music that he has been a music teacher for many years. His students range from the very young to those even in their 80s. All members of the ensemble are musically talented, passionate about their craft, and formally trained with extensive performing experience. JShowtime Jazz and Soul Music LLC, aims to make every event memorable.

Johnnie-Lee Walton Jazz Ensemble:
Daileann thank you so much for having us. We were blessed to perform for Dr. Trisha Bailey. She is an amazing woman with such an aspiring story. It's a testament to having faith and the favor of God on one's life. I will definitely read her book.Review by Ileene S.
