Cannot recommend Hot Cat Jazz enough for the event we organized (40th Wedding Anniversary Garden Party). The band leader, Ross Tucker, was in contact enough to reassure us all was in good control. Band arrived early and was set up and ready to go well ahead of the guest arrivals. Choice of music was perfect for the event. Volume was adequate to set the mood yet quiet enough to enable conversation with the many guests who had travelled to join us. The band read the mood and adjusted as the afternoon went on. We are already thinking of an event to have them back. Having a fun event and want to add some class - hire the Hot Cat Jazz Band - you can't go wrong!

Hot Cat Jazz Band was a great band! They played a ton of music our group really enjoyed and to the Mardi Gras theme. They also played dance music as well, and adjusted based on the crowd - there were tons of people dancing and we had many great reviews after the event on the amazing talent and professionalism from them. Really great sound and great musicians. We hope to have them back!

The Hot Cat Jazz Band (six piece) played at our end of summer outdoor dinner/dance party. They were great—very professional and very talented. Ross Tucker was a pleasure to work with and accommodated all our requests. They have an extensive playlist which we were able to pick and choose from. The band set the mood with appropriate dinner music in the first set, swing music that got everyone dancing in the second set and then dance party music to finish off the third set. Many thanks to Ross and his band for such a thoroughly enjoyable evening!

We hired the Hot Cat Jazz Band (as a quartet) for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and they were AMAZING. We got married at an old train station and wanted a vintage vibe. Ross knew every song we wanted and their sound was so on point. My husband is a musician and very discerning - and he was blown away with their talent. One guest thought the music was recorded because it was so good. We regret not having a videographer because we wish we had full versions of the songs! On top of that, Ross was amazing to work with - incredibly quick to respond and very professional. One of the best choices we made for the wedding! Thanks, Ross & co.!

Hot Cat Jazz Band was incredible!! They made our special day even more special. From their professionalism in preparing for the event to being flexible on location on the day of (due to inclement weather), they made sure that we had nothing to worry about when it came to the music selection! The Hot Cat Jazz Band played a phenomenal show at our graduate school fundraising event. The band was very professional, flexible to our many requests, and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with their performance. Even when we booked them on very short, Ross (the band leader) worked with us to make sure things went smoothly and he moved quickly to line everything up in time for the event. I highly recommend the band and we'll certainly look to hire them again for future events in New Haven!

We hired the Hot Cat Jazz trio (trumpet, guitar, stand-up bass) to play a "surprise" recessional at our waterside ceremony then lead our wedding party and guests on a musical stroll to our backyard reception a few blocks away. They were a total hit with us, our guests and the surrounding homeowners. Ross was incredibly professional and accommodating throughout the entire process. I recommend him and the Hot Cats wholeheartedly!

The Hot Cat Jazz Band played our College's Reunion evening cocktail party. The musical tastes of the attendees varies year to year. I asked the band to read the crowd and give them what they want or more of what they are responding to and they did just that. We never really have dancing and yet the band brought many of our guests to their feet. We are very happy with their performance.

Ross Tucker and the Hot Cat Jazz Band are talented, cool, and professional musicians for a very affordable price. The 4-piece ensemble played during dinner for our wedding at The Society Room of Hartford. Ross helped us out in a pinch when the band we previously had fell through. Easy to book and very accommodating. Being a singer myself, Ross even arranged for me to sing with the band as a surprise to my wife! We received so many comments on how much the band added to the evening. A real element of tone and class, without ever getting in the way. They also worked with our DJ to make all the formal entrances go smoothly and seamlessly. Recommend highly!

Our overall experience working with the Hot Cat Jazz Band was exceptional! Working with the band lead, Ross Tucker, made the process extremely easy to ensure a smooth event from start to finish.
Everyone with the band was on time, professional, easy to work with and sounded great! We were able to request some of our own songs, but left it up to the band to pick what they wanted during the cocktail hour/dinner, and their choices were spot on. The music created a fun and welcoming environment that all of our guests enjoyed.
We would highly recommend the Hot Cat Jazz Band and hope to work with them again in the future.

The Hot Cat Jazz Band was fantastic. They did a terrific job for our wedding, very fun and very accommodating, even with my last minute changes and special requests from our guests.
We had lots of compliments on this band. They have an extensive repertoire, very professional musicians, yet they did not overpower the party. I would definitely book them again!
