Dave Lundin Jazz Trio Jazz Band from Troy, MI

The Dave Lundin Jazz Trio (piano, bass, drums) plays classic and contemporary jazz, from Miles and Coltrane to Monk and Parker. We also play songs from the Great American Songbook for background listening and dancing, such as Cole Porter and George Gershwin. Our selections range from ballads to blues to latin to hard-driving bop. No smooth jazz, no fusion-confusion, no rock, just straight-ahead intense improvisation in the best tradition of jazz. We are one of the house bands for both the Scarab Club of the DIA and the Birmingham Athletic Club, both of which can be used for references. Our rhythm section is one of the best around with two of the areas most in-demand performers, featuring Keith Malinowski on bass and Karen Tomalis on drums.
