Common Ground Jazz Band from Fairfax, VA

Common Ground, a suburban Washington DC (Fairfax, Va.) based group, offers a diversity of musical styles and genres. Although Smooth and Contemparary Jazz is their forte, their flexibility is unlimited,making for smooth musical transitions. Whether it be an old Jazz standard rearranged for the contemporary listener, or a recent urban style hit remade to give it a jazzy feel, Common Ground approaches these musical challenges with taste and imagination. Formed in 2001, Common Ground has been a mainstay in the DMV (DC. Md.,Va.), and have maintained a stellar reputation for excellence and reliability. While closely associated with the former “Smooth Jazz 105.9” radio station, Common Ground was selected as an opening act for national recording artist Brian Culbertson , and Chris Botti, along with countless local musical venues.
