The Adam Moezinia trio is a straight-ahead jazz group rooted in the traditions of swing, blues and the great American Songbook. We also dip into some of the Brazilian songbook (bossa nova, samba) and American popular music, and can play almost any song upon request (beforehand). The original format of the trio is guitar, bass and drums but we are very flexible and can adapt to many different instrumentations including solo guitar, bass/guitar duo, as well as the addition of other instruments (vocals, saxophone, trumpet, clarinet, trombone, flute, piano etc.) up to a sextet. The leader of this group, Adam Moezinia is a graduate of the Jazz Studies program at the renowned Juilliard School. He has lived in New York City for over 12 years and has performed and traveled the world with some of the greats in jazz including Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis, Cecile McLorin Salvant, Freddy Cole (brother of Nat King Cole) and many others.
