Captain Buckles Jam Band from New Orleans, LA

If you want an actual band with real musical chemistry and a deep repertoire of originals and covers spanning most American music styles--including pop, funk, blues, rock, rhythm & blues, soul, cajun, zydeco, country, jam band stuffs, fusion, reggae, and even New Orleans & modern jazz--look no further! We play all types of shows, from bar gigs & listening rooms to festival sets, wedding gigs and private events. Everybody in the band sings and can play the familiar and unfamiliar, deep and good enough to take most requests and rock 'em for the first time. We can play upbeat numbers and hype a crowd as well as groove in the pocket, low key, and let the event audience fraternize or dance!! Its members have been heavily involved in the New Orleans music scene for many years. Their gumbo includes transplants Smitti Supab (bass, vocals), Alex Mallet (guitar, vocals), Phil Breen (keys), and New Orleans-born Tyler Clements (drums, vocals) & Rob Davis (multi-instrument) who bring the essential local spice and heritage! Its members have played extensively with local luminaries such as Eric Lindell, Samantha Fish, John ‘Papa’ Gros, Russell Batiste, James Andrews, Glen David Andrews, Mem Shannon, Michael Darby (Irene & the Mikes), Ernie Vincent, Dave Easley, plus many others, but formed their own band to get that fire chemistry, more musical freedom, and a vibe going between everyone. Captain Buckles regularly goes on mini-tours to Charleston, SC and Key West, FL, playing venues like the Green Parrot and Charleston Pour House. With members hailing all the way from California to Florida, the coming together of different backgrounds, ages, and experience to support the making of music together often makes for explosive dynamics on stage, and always makes for a truly fun and joyful time.
