The Muckers Irish Band from Atlanta, GA

The Muckers are a folk-rock group with a heavy emphasis on Irish music (both traditional and modern), though they blend in a good dose of Gypsy music, country and sea shanties, as well as retro-fitting modern punk songs to sound like traditional Irish tunes. With a lineup of guitar, bass, fiddle, mandolin, accordion and drums, The Muckers can provide everything from a folky duo up to a full-blast, five-piece rock band - whatever best fits your event. The Muckers regularly open in and around Atlanta for touring folk-rock acts like The Rev. Peyton's Big Damn Band, Skinny Lister, Banditos, Whiskey Shivers and Black Irish Texas, while headlining their own gigs at clubs and pubs from Tennessee to Florida. They're regulars on the Celtic festival circuit as well. The band largely plays Irish, Gypsy and sea shanty traditionals mixed with hits from modern favorites like Flogging Molly, The Pogues and Dropkick Murphys. There is a good catalogue of Muckers originals, generally interspersed throughout the sets.
