Everest & Business speaker Motivational Speaker from Vail, CO

After climbing to the top of Mt. Everest, I raised $100,000 to build the Mt. Everest primary in Uganda with charity Fields of Life. I visited the shack they had for a school in 2007 before climbing Everest. Their school logo is what inspired me and continues to inspire me. It reads 'Today's actions brings tomorrow's success' After climbing Everest and raising the funds we officially opened the Mt. Everest primary school in March 2009. The school is not supported by my trekking business. The school has grown from 80 children to 240 and continues to grow. I set a goal with a friend of mine to climb 4 mountains on 4 continents in 1 year and raise $100,000 to build the Mt. Everest school. I climbed all four, but 2 months before I was due to fly to Nepal to climb Mt. Everest, two professionals told me I wasn't good enough and cancelled our trip. I was devastated. After weeks of reflection. I revived my plan, believed I could climb Everest. I spent 10 weeks on Everest and faced many challenges on the mountain, and four months after I was told I wasn't good enough for Everest, I stood on the top of the world. We set a plan and climbed Everest within two years of setting that goal. I look forward to talking with you more about my story and what I can offer.
