About Vendor
Learn more about this vendor for your event.
Mary Keppeler has been communicating through the elegance and grace of the harp for over thirty years. She expresses clear, clean sounds through resonant, restful, yet energizing music. Mixing classical, popular and folk arrangements, she creates music that can convey moods ranging from playfulness to quiet reflection or nostalgia to elegant wonder. Mary plays for weddings, receptions, private parties, funerals, corporate and charitable functions. Some of her clients for private functions have included the American Club, Milwaukee Athletic Club, Milwaukee Brewers Corporation, Milwaukee Art Museum, Medical College of Wisconsin, Walgreens Corporation, Kohler Corporation, Culvers Corporation, American Cancer Society, Waukesha Symphony Orchestra, and Wisconsin Parkinson Association. Additionally, Mary plays for Afternoon Tea at Milwaukee's elegant and historic Pfister Hotel from 2005-2013, and 2016-2017. Events for which Mary has played have taken her to interesting performance venues, including an island via ferry, an island via private airplane, the beaches of Lake Michigan, county and state parks, a Chicago nightclub, botanical gardens, the Domes, stately hotels, rooftop terraces, the student-filled halls of a Milwaukee public school, private backyards, country clubs, a bathroom showroom, a jewelry store, a department store makeup display, retirement communities, a lighthouse, and museums. She has played as a bride rode in to her ceremony on horseback, and as a groom flew in to his lakeside ceremony on a pontoon plane. She has performed under the blaze of stage lights and artificial falling snow, under the light of crystal chandeliers and in the summer sun, in churches and a cathedral, under trees, in a meadow, by lakes, and in a barn. In addition to solo harp engagements, Mary is active as a free-lance orchestra and ensemble harpist. She plays principal harp for the Manitowoc Symphony. Other performances include those with the Sheboygan Symphony, Green Bay Symphony, Beloit Janesville Symphony, Concord Chamber Orchestra, Carroll University Wind Symphony, Edgewood Chamber Orchestra, Skylight Opera orchestra, Dudley Birder Chorale, Lutheran A Capella Choir, South Shore Chorale, Master Singers of Milwaukee, Cluj (Romania) Opera Chorus, Tokyo International Singers, and Mannheim Steamroller. Special thanks to Steve Jarvis for photos # 9 and #16.
