Kim Meyer is an accomplished harpist who has been playing for twenty-eight years. She began her musical training at the age 4 with piano lessons, and at the age of 8 started violin lessons. She began taking harp lessons at the age of 12 in Sioux Falls, SD under the instruction of Anna Vorhes. She later moved to Minneapolis, MN to study with Frances Miller (retired) at the University of Minnesota. Lastly, she moved to Des Moines, Iowa to attend Drake University under the instruction of Mary Watts Foss, Principal Harpist of the Des Moines Symphony. She received her BA in Harp Performance. Currently, Kim performs at events throughout Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa. Her extensive repertoire includes a variety of classical, popular, contemporary, and Irish music that is sure to accommodate any musical preference you may have for your wedding ceremony, reception, or special event.
