Karolyn is a talented and versatile harpist, known for her exceptional skill and passion for creating beautiful music across a wide range of genres. With a deep love for jazz and classical traditions and a flair for modern interpretations, she brings a unique and enchanting sound to every performance. She has had the honor of playing with such artist as Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, and has entertained former Mayors Coleman Young and Dennis Archer of Detroit Michigan. Her work also includes many performances with local orchestras as well as numerous restaurant and banquet engagements. Karolyn later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and continues to perform at various venues throughout the Las Vegas area. Whether performing solo, in chamber ensembles, or as part of orchestras, Karolyn’s musical journey is defined by her dedication to bringing emotion and depth to each note. Her repertoire spans from classical masterpieces to contemporary compositions, including music from Debussy to Taylor Swift, and she is particularly known for her interpretations of jazz standards. Karolyn currently performs on a Lyon & Healy style 30 Concert Grand Harp that can be amplified for larger venues. She also performs on a Lyon and Healy Ogden Lever harp, which is perfect for outdoor venues and sometimes a more affordable option when on a strict budget.
