Abigail Acosta Harpist from Zionsville, IN

Abigail has been playing the harp for 25 years, she loves to expose people to the harp, whether in a wedding or background music setting, on stage in concert, or teaching someone how to experience the harp for themselves. She can be heard regularly playing in the East 91st St. Christian Church orchestra, in her home with her husband who plays flute, clarinet, and saxophone, or at various events around the greater Indianapolis area. Abigail began harp lessons at the age of nine with Serena O'Meara, harpist and teacher in Wisconsin. There she discovered the harp, and fell in love with the instrument. She also discovered the immense value of ensemble playing. Abigail continued her study of harp performance and then pedagogy with Carol McClure at The Harp School, Inc. where she received her Diplomas and Licentiates in Harp Teaching & Performance from the Royal Schools of Music while training in the Angel Harp Method, developed for use of The Harp School, Inc. teachers. Abigail Crouch Acosta was awarded the degrees DipABRSM and L.R. in both Harp Performance and Harp Teaching.
