Hi, thanks for visiting my page. My name is Max Cobb, I'm a finger-style guitarist and singer from Seattle, WA. I've been playing guitar and singing professionally on the west coast for the last 5 years, I just recently moved to Austin to join the vibrant music scene. Music is my life's work, and I love making events special with my ability to entertain. I studied classical and jazz guitar at Gonzaga University, and can play any type of music by ear. Max can play instrumental guitar and/or sing at any part of the weddings, and can comfortably perform up to 5 hours of music. He can learn any songs or genre of music upon request, and often works with couples to custom pick songs for the bridal party and bride to walk down the aisle, as well as first dances. Max can provide a sound system to DJ a dance floor or background music on a playlist, mics to make speeches, and he’s happy to Emcee the wedding to make announcements and introduce the couple. A common wedding package that Max provides might look like this: Instrumental guitar as guests arrive to the ceremony, then instrumental arrangements of requested songs as the bridal party and bride walk the aisle. Another special song for a recessional to segue into cocktail hour. Vocals and guitar during cocktail hour for nice background music during drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Max makes announcements to signify that dinner is starting, and when guests can go get food. More instrumental guitar or singing during dinner. Pause for toasts - mics provided and mixing to make sure it sounds great. A mix of performing more upbeat music for the reception, or DJing a playlist for the dance floor. Winding down the night with vocals or instrumental guitar Max aims to cover any audio that you might need at the wedding. It’s one more stressful thing that he likes to completely take care of so the couple can relax and focus on enjoying the day. I play a variety of different events; some of the most common events I've played in the past are: - Wedding Ceremonies - Wedding Receptions - Wine Tastings - Corporate Events - Bars and Restaurants - Festivals - Art gallery openings There are 3 different packages I perform at events - you can mix and match any combination of the 3. - Instrumental Fingerstyle Guitar - Singing + Guitar - Amplification/DJ For example, I can play guitar for your wedding ceremony, sing with guitar accompaniment during the cocktail hour and dinner and provide a sound system to play a playlist for a dance party during the reception. I can provide up to 6 hours of instrumental guitar music, 3 hours of singing+guitar, and as long as you want with the amplification system playing a playlist.
