From solo guitar to jazz combos or orchestral work, I take pride in the quality and integrity of the music I produce today, and in my professionalism and reliability to every client. In recent years I have focused on becoming a perfect classical guitarist for wedding ceremonies, specializing in outdoor/beach ceremonies with small, battery-powered equipment, including a wireless lapel mic for the officiant to insure that everyone hears the ceremony. In addition to the repertoire listed below, I am open to accommodate special requests for ceremony and/or reception music, and I can normally arrange any song as a solo guitar piece. I am completely self-contained with all equipment necessary for large to small engagements. For beach ceremonies I am normally ready to play for guests about 30 min. before the start of the ceremony, and I often play for some time afterwards while photos are taken. Playing beautiful music on the guitar is a love of my life which lends itself beautifully to other occasions as well; with an effortless transition from nylon-string to the sound of electric jazz guitar in the style of my influences, Wes Montgomery and one of my former teachers, George Benson. It will complement any sophisticated and/or romantic setting such as fine dining, wedding receptions, private house parties, corporate receptions or any occasion that intrinsically is a celebration of life itself. It can serve as a most appropriate soundtrack for your occasion. After decades of experience with rock concert acts, show bands and jazz groups, I currently work along the Gulf Coast and deep south either as a soloist, with a female vocalist as a duo, with combos up to 7 pieces and sometimes large orchestras for jazz fests, casinos, resorts and convention centers. My solo repertoire other than wedding ceremonies includes pop, country and jazz standards, Latin sambas, bossa-novas, and pop classics. Many years in the music business have provided me with a diverse repertoire and the ability to adapt to a wide variety of situations or whims. My vocal repertoire ranges from traditional jazz, classic soft rock and country standards in the styles of Nat Cole and Michael Buble' to James Taylor, Michael Franks, Jimmy Buffet, et al. ***************************************************** My instruments are: an Ibanez arch top electric guitar and a Takamine electric/acoustic nylon-string classical guitar. I use a Roland guitar synthesizer, a looping device and a Rhythm Composer with personally-programmed (bass and percussion) accompaniment for solo engagements.
