EJ & AlpineSound German Band from Menlo Park, CA

GERMAN Polka & Oktoberfest-Band we play Polkas and Walzes from Germany, Austria and Switzerland and other Singalong stuff including typical Bavarian & Oompah music. The musicians wear authentic Lederhosen/Dirndl (see photo). The Band plays traditional and authentic German Polka- and Octoberfest Music. HAVING FUN! The focus is on having fun, entertain and having the audience join and engage with Singalongs, Dances, "Schunkeln" (= Swaying) and other "Oktoberfest"-style songs. Some musicians grew up in Germany playing and singing this typical music. GENRE Besides the traditional German Oktoberfest-music, AlpineSound plays also some Irish songs, American classic rock & country tunes (Sweet Caroline, Take Me Home Country Roads, Blue Bayou, Achy Breaky Heart, Kansas City, On the Road Again, Margaritaville, Friends in Low Places...), and a variety of other fun and folk-songs (I don't Look Good Naked Anymore, It's Hard to Humble, This Land is Your Land...)! WHAT OCCASSIONS DO WE PLAY? The band performs from smaller parties for families and friends to larger corporate events (900+ people). Occasions range from birthday-parties, weddings, retirements, fundraisers, beer-fests, beer-gardens, reunions, memorials / Celebration of life (yes!), Spring/Maifests, Summerfests, Karneval (Fasching, Fasnet), School-Events, Reunions, Anniversaries, Oktoberfest (Octoberfest) or other Yearend or Corporate Parties. The (authentic german) band is based in the San Francisco BayArea (Oakland), but plays also outside the Bay. FOLKDANCERS Depending on the event, the band can ask to have their fellow folkdancers (Schuhplatter) join for traditional dances in their Dirndl & Lederhosen (separate engagement). BEER & TAP-OF-THE-KEG Ceremony (Bierfass-Anstich) A major Beer-Importer can be introduced for authentic German Beer. (separate engagement) Apart from beer, a "Beermaster" for the 'tap-of-the-keg' (Bierfassanstich) ceremony can be available also upon request. The ceremony can be performed either in German or English.
