Jambalaya West is a New Orleans Second-line Mardi Gras Funk band. The band is fronted by Kirk Nelson, an established entertainer for many years. We provide the hip shakin' beat for your Mardis Gras party, festival, or themed event. We are also available as a quintet, and can cover the Jazz and Blues idioms with equal aplomb. Many of our compositions are fresh and original, and we do many recognizable cover tunes as well. Jambalaya West come complete with sound system, and attire for everything from black-tie to dress down casual. We are all professional musicians, and can accommodate any special requests. This is a child friendly act, suitable for any occasion.
