Eric Schaffer Folk Singer from Tucson, AZ

Greetings from Tucson, AZ! I am an accomplished singer-songwriter who performs solo, as half of a duo, and also with my band, The Other Troublemakers. I’ve released three studio albums with The Other Troublemakers and have performed throughout the US and parts of Mexico. Our latest album, “Dry Lighting” was produced by Peter Dalton Ronstadt and released in 2023 to much critical acclaim. My musical influences range from the classic singer-songwriters of the past to more contemporary artists. From Jackson Browne to Kris Kristofferson, my style is a blend of storytelling and heartfelt lyrics that will leave you wanting more. Whether you're a fan of folk, country, or just good music in general, I've got something for everyone in my setlist. I was a finalist in several notable songwriting competitions- The Great American Song Contest, Passport To Nashville, and The Tucson Folk Festival (4 times). In 2022 I won the songwriting competition at the Tumbleweed Music Festival in Richland, WA. I’ve been fortunate to open shows for many national recording artists including Clint Black, Blackberry Smoke, Marc Cohn, Lonestar and Radney Foster (Radney even invited me to accompany him on his closing song of the evening….hello, bucket list!) A typical show will include a selection of my songs mixed in with covers. I have a fairly extensive repertoire and can tailor a show to meet your needs. For local shows I have a very nice sound system that provides high quality, clear audio at any volume high or low. It is scalable and suitable for anything from a living room gathering to a small concert hall.
